Follow the photo-station instructions. If glasses create glare or block a clear view of the eyes, staff may ask you to remove them for the picture.
A religious head covering is handled differently from an ordinary fashion hat, but the photo still needs to show the face clearly enough for identification. Be prepared to adjust anything that blocks identifying facial features.
What happens if the permit photo is blurry or your eyes are closed? If staff notice a technical problem before the credential is issued, they can take another image so the permit photo is usable for identification.

A retake is normally about getting an acceptable identification photo, not choosing a preferred portrait. Ask staff before the transaction is completed if the image has a clear technical problem; a preference-only retake is not guaranteed.
Do not assume the permit photo will automatically carry forward. A later license transaction may require a new photo, so follow the photo process required for the new credential.
"The AI mock tests were surprisingly realistic. The explanations for road signs helped me understand the logic, not just memorize. Passed my permit test on the first try!"
