The Wisconsin driver's handbook is free from the official Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) website. Focus your study on Sections 4, 5, and 6 for the knowledge test.
The official Wisconsin Motorists' Handbook (BDS126) is available free as a PDF from WisDOT. You can also pick up a printed copy at DMV locations.
A student in Milwaukee went to the downtown DMV on a Saturday hoping to snag a physical copy. They were out. She downloaded the PDF on her phone while waiting in line: saved the trip from being a total waste.
Don't skip Section 11 on the points system. Violations carry double points for probationary drivers. Section 9 covers the "Absolute Sobriety" law: 0.00% BAC if you're under 21. No exceptions.
Complete at least three full practice tests scoring above 80% before your exam. The official practice test is at widmv-practice-tests.wi.gov.
The official handbook is completely free in all digital formats. Physical copies are free at DMV locations when available.
Just print the PDF at home. You'll have the latest version and won't deal with DMV stock issues or driving school surcharges.

Complete the MV3001 Driver License Application before your DMV visit. Teen drivers under 18 also need the HS-303 supervised driving log documenting 50 hours of practice, including 10 at night.
For your first license, bring a certified birth certificate, Social Security card, and two proofs of Wisconsin residency. Miss any document and you're making another trip.
"The AI mock tests were surprisingly realistic. The explanations for road signs helped me understand the logic, not just memorize. Passed my permit test on the first try!"
