No, you cannot download a digital copy of your North Carolina Limited Learner Permit. North Carolina does not currently offer a mobile driver license program for learner permit holders. No digital permit option exists for teens. Carry your physical permit whenever you drive.
North Carolina does not offer a digital or electronic learner permit. No app, website, or mobile wallet stores a valid permit. The physical card or paper Temporary Driving Certificate is required by law.
A phone photo, screenshot, or wallet image is not a substitute for the learner permit when you need to show driving authority.

If an active North Carolina Level 1 permit is lost, eligible customers can order a duplicate online. Kiosk or Driver License Office options may also be available depending on the transaction.

NCDMV says NC Wallet and mobile ID are coming for eligible North Carolina driver licenses and state IDs. The current program information does not list learner permits. Until NCDMV specifically includes learner permits, do not treat NC Wallet as a digital learner permit or a substitute for the physical permit or valid Temporary Driving Certificate.
No current learner-permit option replaces the physical credential or a valid paper Temporary Driving Certificate. If North Carolina expands mobile credential support in the future, check NCDMV before relying on a digital version for driving.
