Nevada Road Test Documents: Permit, Forms, Insurance and Driving Log

Bring the road-test documents that apply to your age and situation. Missing paperwork can stop the appointment, so check the permit, teen forms, driving log and vehicle documents before leaving for DMV.

Nevada Road-Test Documents for Teens vs Adults

Do not attach a vehicle-registration form number to the physical instruction permit. The driving-privileges application is DMV 002, but the document you bring to the road test is your valid instruction permit.

Additional Road Test Paperwork for Teen Drivers

Teen applicants should bring the required parent or guardian and the teen-specific documents DMV requires for the road-test/license process. DMV 301 is school-attendance certification. Driver-education completion is separate proof from the course provider.

Do I Need DMV 301 for the Nevada Road Test?

Under-18 applicants should treat DMV 301 as school-attendance paperwork, not as driver-education completion. Make sure the form meets DMV's current date window.

Do I Need the Original Driver-Ed Completion Certificate?

Bring the driver-education proof required for your teen licensing path. The certificate comes from the approved course provider and is separate from DMV 301.

For teen applicants, the parent or guardian should come to the DMV because DMV requires parent/guardian signatures for the road-test and license process. Avoid broad claims that every home-signed consent form is never accepted in every Nevada DMV situation.

DLD-130 and RoadReady Practice Log Verification

Teen applicants must document supervised driving practice as required by Nevada's teen licensing process. Detailed logging rules belong on the practice-hours page, but this checklist should remind teens to bring the completed DLD-130 log or accepted RoadReady record when it applies.

Can I Use RoadReady Instead of the Paper DLD-130 Log?

Use the completed practice record that DMV accepts for your situation. If you use RoadReady, make sure the final record is ready for the road-test/license process instead of assuming a phone screen alone will solve a missing-log problem.

Vehicle and Driver Checks Before the Road Test

DMV checks the applicant's eligibility and the test vehicle's documents and safety condition. The vehicle-requirements page should own the full inspection detail, including lights, signals, tires, mirrors and other safety items.

What Happens If I Forget a Road-Test Document?

If a required document is missing, the test may need to be rescheduled. Review the appointment, permit, teen paperwork, practice log, driver-education proof and vehicle documents before the test. Do not assume a specific fee result unless DMV tells you how your appointment will be handled.
