How to Avoid Permit-Test Delays and Common Mistakes

• Complete pre-registration online to avoid being told your paperwork isn't in the system, a common delay at the Aurora DMV that adds an hour to your visit.
• Bring a signed Form DR 2460 if under 18 to prevent immediate rejection. The Colorado Springs office frequently turns away teens whose parents only filled out the form but forgot to sign it.
• Answer each question decisively to avoid overthinking. Changing answers is a leading cause of failure, as the first instinct is often correct.
