Can Someone Else Submit My Alaska Permit Application for Me?

No. The permit applicant must go to the DMV because the application includes identity review, vision screening, and testing requirements. For a minor, the minor must be present and complete the applicant steps. A parent can provide consent by signing in front of the DMV, or the required consent can be notarized when the parent cannot attend.

Can I Apply Right After Passing the Alaska Online Knowledge Test?

Yes, you can move on to the DMV application step after passing the online knowledge test. Passing the test does not issue the permit by itself; you still need to visit the DMV with Form D1, the required documents, and parental consent if you are under 18.
